A-Zip Moving & Cartage was started in 1949 by Lorne Gives, the grandfather of current owner, Terry Joyes. In the early days he operated as a parcel delivery service for Eaton's Department Store. After a few years later A Zip started providing delivery services for other businesses and residential moving services.

The current owner, Terry Joyes bought A-Zip Moving & Cartage from his grandfather in 1987. Since that time, we have expanded the residential moving business and also have a commercial moving division. We also offer a cartage service as a subcontractor to other firms. At present we have 7 active moving trucks providing quality professional residential and commercial moving services in Ontario.

We feel our success depends on continuing a family tradition of dependable, competent service, and good value to existing and new customers.

We have been in continuous operation since 1949 and celebrate our 55th anniversary as a family owned and operated business in 2004. We are proud of our history and reputation and look forward to serving you or your business.

The original moving and cartage business is now complemented by a snowplowing service.
